Geocore Multiplayer: 8 New Games, Georoam & Daily Boards
Geocore Multiplayer has eight new games, and every one has a daily: draw an erased border back, spot two neighbours merged into one or the country that grabbed a chunk of its neighbour, paint a flag's colours back, guess a flag seen close up, crack four countries from one clue each, and size two places against each other at true scale. Georoam, the street-level guessing game, is open too. And the dailies now give you a reason to come back: one web streak, a public board for every daily, and challenge links for your friends.
Everything here is in your browser at geocore.fun/play, on the same Geocore account, friends and XP as the full game. Geocore Multiplayer is in beta.

The border games
Four games built on the map's own borders. Each plays solo, as a daily, or in any lobby mode, on the world, five continents or the US states. Free with an account.
- Draw the Border: two neighbours are shown as one shape with the border between them erased. Draw where it runs with a mouse, finger or pen, then press Done. The closer your line follows the real border, end to end, the more points; scribbling or tracing it twice costs points. The web version of the full game's Draw the Border.
- Draw the Border: Tripoint: three places that meet at one point, every border between them erased. Find where they meet, then draw all three borders back.
- Spot the Merge: one border has been erased, so two neighbours (three, on the harder setting) look like a single place. Click inside the merged shape. Three misses and the merge is shown, and faster finds score more.
- Spot the Land Grab: one border has moved, and a country has swallowed a chunk of its neighbour. Click the one that grew; on Grew and shrank, find the one that shrank too. The Chunk setting makes the grab large, medium or small.
Flags, clues and size
Four more, each solo, daily or in a lobby. Free with an account.
- Paint The Flag: a named country's flag with its colours taken out. Pick a colour from the palette (or press 1 to 8), paint each part, and submit. Three tries a flag, and which parts are wrong is never said. Shade mode leaves one part blank: mix its exact colour on hue, saturation and brightness sliders. 180 flags to paint. The web version of the full game's Paint The Flag.
- Flag Peek: a flag seen close up. Type the country; every wrong guess, or Zoom out, pulls the view back. Six guesses, the last on the whole flag, and fewer guesses score more.
- Clue Quartet: four hidden countries, one shown by its flag, one by its capital, one by its neighbours and one by its shape. Four guesses a card, and every wrong guess earns another clue: population, then land area, then the continent.
- Size Up: two places drawn at one true, equal-area scale. Drag the slider until the second is the right size against the first, overlay them to compare, and lock it in. Judged on how close the area is: double or half earns half.
Georoam
Georoam drops you somewhere on Earth at street level. Look around (and on Moving, walk down the road), then place your pin on the map. Five places a game, up to 5,000 points each by distance, from 936 places in 146 countries. Choose Moving, No move or NMPZ (one fixed view), and a round time. In a lobby, everyone's pins land on one map at the reveal.
A free account plays 2 Georoam games a day, on top of its 5 Multiplayer games; Pro is unlimited. Georoam needs an account. Every round credits its imagery on screen.
One web streak
Play any web daily on its day and the streak holds: Geordle one day, Paint The Flag the next. It shows on the dailies row, the daily page and your results card. The full game keeps its own daily streak, unchanged.
Daily boards and challenges
After a daily, the results card shows the day's board: the top ten first plays from signed-in players, how every score spread out, and where you landed. Signed out, you see where you would have placed; sign in and your next daily is on the board. Challenge a friend copies a link with your score to beat, and Play it together opens today's daily as a lobby, so everyone plays the same challenge at once. Each player's first play is still the one that counts.
Two more dailies
- Geo Grid Duel: nine squares, six clues, one grid for everyone each day. The game is part of Geocore Pro; its daily is free with an account. After you play, the answers sheet lists every country that fits each square and how many players picked it. Rarer is better.
- Border Route: one route a day from one country to another, border by border. Free with an account.
Improvements
- Every capitals quiz has a Name them all mode: type every capital of a region against the clock.
- Today on Geocore on the home page and the daily page: the country of the day with three facts from Geocore's own data, the flag of the day, and this day in geography.
- Suggest a puzzle from the contact form: a route, a border, a question or a game idea. Accepted ideas are credited by the name you choose on the suggestions page.
- A one-tap question now and then, such as how today's daily was: never during a game, at most once a week, and never again once you say so.
- Played a game without an account? A Save your scores prompt after the results shows what a free account keeps.
