A Halloween week on Geocore

From October 24 to November 1, Geocore goes orange and black: themed flag dailies, a Halloween sky for the globe, and a sale that is still running. Everything below is live in your browser at geocore.fun/play.

Orange-and-black flag dailies

The Flag Quiz daily deals ten flags that hold orange or black, every day from October 26 to November 1. They are the same ten for everyone that day, so your score is comparable with a friend's. Think of the orange of Ireland and Niger, and the black of Germany, Egypt and Uganda.

Tip: orange hides in emblems and small details as often as in stripes, so look at the whole flag before you guess.

Paint The Flag on October 30 and 31

On October 30 and 31, Paint The Flag deals five flags from the same orange-and-black set. Each flag comes with its colours taken out; pick a colour from the palette, click a numbered part to paint it, and submit when every part is done. You get three tries a flag, and you are never told which parts were wrong.

Tip: paint the large parts first: they are the ones you can be surest of, and they show you the flag.

Hallow Night, a Halloween sky for the globe

For the week, the globe has a new sky to choose in Visuals: Hallow Night, a harvest moon over midnight violet and pumpkin haze, with the map in pumpkin and night colours. It works in any game that has a globe, and it goes when Halloween does.

The Halloween banner

A Halloween banner is up on the dailies page from October 24, with the days each themed daily is dealt and the free quizzes on the theme. The home page has a Halloween section for the week too.

The Fall 2.0 Sale is still on: code GEOFALL26 takes 50% off your first month or first year of Geocore Pro, until November 15, 11:59 PM New York time. Type it on the payment page at checkout. Compare plans.
